Is herringbone more expensive to fit?

It takes longer than plank flooring because of the setting out and the number of cuts, so yes, the fitting cost is higher. The material itself is priced similarly to plank flooring in the same range. We quote the two separately so you can see exactly what you are paying for.

What is the difference between herringbone and chevron?

Herringbone blocks are rectangles laid at ninety degrees to each other, giving a stepped zigzag. Chevron blocks are cut at an angle at each end so the rows meet in a continuous point, like an arrow. Chevron looks more formal; herringbone is the more traditional of the two.

Can I have herringbone in a bathroom?

Yes, in luxury vinyl. LVT herringbone is fully waterproof, warm underfoot and comes in convincing oak effects. We would not put real wood parquet in a wet room.
