Flooring in Redruth

Redruth is home. Our showroom is here and most of our week is spent within a few miles of it, so a sample visit or a look at a subfloor is a short trip rather than a day out.

An engineered oak floor in a living room

What we find in Redruth

Redruth's terraces and miners' cottages are largely suspended timber floors over ventilated voids. They take engineered wood and laminate beautifully once the boards are levelled or overlaid with plywood, and the void keeps them dry as long as the airbricks are clear.

The post-war estates around Illogan Highway, Trewirgie and Treleigh are mostly solid concrete. Those need a moisture test and, for glue-down LVT, a smoothing screed. It is the single most common piece of preparation we do in this town.

Flooring in Redruth: common questions

Do you cover Redruth?
Yes. Redruth and the surrounding TR15 and TR16 postcodes are part of our regular working area from Redruth, for both supply and fit and supply only.
Will you bring samples to my home in Redruth?
Yes, and it is the part of the job customers value most. Rather than choosing from a small square under a shop light, you see full samples in the room they are destined for, at different times of day.
How much does a floor cost?
We quote per room after measuring, and the price includes the flooring, the underlay or adhesive, accessories, any subfloor preparation and the fitting. That way there are no surprises when the invoice arrives.
How soon can you start?
It varies through the year. Get in touch with the rooms and rough sizes and we will tell you honestly what our lead time is, and work to your kitchen fit or completion date where we can.
